A crowded Gmail inbox can leave you choosing between keeping everything in view and deleting mail you might need later. MailBoom offers another approach: archive the backlog, choose what stays in your inbox, and find the rest when you need it.

If you’re looking for an Unroll.Me alternative, start with the job you want done. Managing subscriptions and clearing an existing inbox are related, but they are different tasks.

What does Unroll.Me say about data?

Unroll.Me describes commercial-email information supporting market intelligence, advertising products, and datasets. Its policy says consumer-panel information may be sold or shared; directly identifiable information is not sold or shared with customers to target the panelist personally. Privacy notice; data-use explanation.

Gmail connection method matters. Google API-connected Gmail data has additional service-use and transfer restrictions and cannot be used to serve advertisements. The policy says these restrictions do not apply to Google App Password connections. It also provides privacy choices. Read section 4 of the notice.

MailBoom processes email on your device. We do not collect or sell your email data or build advertising profiles from it. The app connects directly to Google for authorized Gmail access and changes. Read MailBoom’s privacy policy.

When MailBoom is a good fit

Choose MailBoom when your main problem is an overwhelming Gmail backlog and you want to keep your messages. Review senders, decide what belongs in the inbox, and search archived mail later.

Unroll.Me may fit better if a daily subscription digest or support for several different email providers is your priority. MailBoom does not replace every subscription-management workflow.

A practical way to switch

  1. Try sample mail first. Explore MailBoom before connecting your Gmail account.
  2. Review your current setup. Check the subscriptions and Rollups you rely on before changing services.
  3. Start with a manageable cleanup. Keep recent or important messages visible and archive what you no longer need in the inbox.
  4. Review old access separately. If you stop using Unroll.Me, review its account controls and your Google Account connections. Removing access and requesting deletion are separate tasks. Its panel opt-out guide explains the available choices and retained data.

Archiving preserves mail; it does not free Gmail storage or unsubscribe you from future messages.
